SARAJEVO, Sept 19 (Hina) - The commander of the army of Bosnia- Herzegovina's Croat-Muslim entity, General Atif Dudakovic, said on Friday that he was dissatisfied with measures to reform the country's defence system. #L# Following a session of the Joint Commission for Military Affairs, which is chaired by the chief commander of the Stabilisation Force in the country, US General William Ward, Dudakovic told reporters that the session did not discuss the establishment of a single army. He added that it was time to stop the strengthening of entity armies, a process which he said had been going on since the signing of the Dayton peace agreement. By stating so, Dudakovic joined a state presidency member, Sulejman Tihic, who also expressed dissatisfaction with the defence reform, claiming that it was delayed and lacked the needed results as the ethnic components would continue to exist in the armed forces. US General Ward said, however, that the reorganisation of the country's defence system was heading in the right direction and that one should not be dissatisfied with current reform measures. Enes Becirbasic, secretary of the Permanent Commission for Military Affairs - the substitute for a national defence ministry - said a special commission in charge of reorganisation of the defence system would end its work at the beginning of next week, after which one would be able to speak about concrete solutions. Becirbasic just said that the armed forces of Bosnia-Herzegovina would be established. (hina) rml
