"Croatia is attending the Cancun conference as a newly admitted
member of the WTO, which it joined in 2000 as part of efforts to
protect its interests, primarily by seeking special benefits in the
area of agriculture and industrial products," Jurcic said.
The Cancun conference is addressing ways to reduce the rift between
the rich and the poor and the agricultural reform.
The five-day event, which ends on Sunday, is taking place in the
midst of strong anti-capitalist protests.
