According to a press release issued by the NHI party on Thursday,
the re-deployment of the Croat component of the Muslim-Croat
Federation's army intensifies local Croats' feeling of being
unprotected and encourages their silent departure from their
hometowns.
The NHI is particularly concerned about the plans of the HDZ BiH to
relocate the command of a Croat brigade from Busovaca (central
Bosnia).
According to the same party, the HDZ also intends to relocate the
artillery unit from Jajce to Livno and to dissolve the demining unit
in Zepce as well as the rapid reaction brigade in Kiseljak.
The NHI appealed to SFOR Commander William Ward, who is responsible
for local military units, not to allow the HDZ to carry out its plans
which the NHI, led by Kresimir Zubak, described as a 'perfidious
policy'.
The HDZ BiH is the strongest Croat political party in Bosnia. The
NHI is believed to be the second largest Croat political force in
that country.
