ZAGREB, Sept 16 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament's Committee for the Constitution, Standing Orders and Political System will meet on Friday to review the decision on the allocation of funds for the operation of political
parties.

Friday to review the decision on the allocation of funds for the

A new parliamentary party, the Croatian True Revival (HIP), will
for the first time receive funds from the national budget. The HIP
has recently been joined by Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ)
deputies Dario Vukic and Ante Beljo and an independent member of
parliament, Djuro Njavro. It will receive 197,383 kuna for the last
quarter of the year.
The HDZ, which has 33 seats in parliament, will be allocated 2.2
million kuna, while the strongest parliamentary party, the Social
Democratic Party (SDP), which has 44 seats, will receive 2.9
million kuna.
The Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) will be granted 1.1 million kuna,
the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS) 858,407 kuna, Libra
664,524 kuna and the Croatian Bloc (HB) 336,022 kuna.
The Liberal Party (LS), the Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS) and
the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) will each receive 263,178 kuna,
the Democratic Centre 204,433 kuna, the Croatian People's Party
(HNS) 138,168 kuna and the Primorje-Gorski Kotar Alliance (PGS)
131,589 kuna.
Parties with one seat in parliament -- the Croatian Party of
Slavonia and Baranja (SBHS), the Croatian Christian Democratic
Union (HKDU), the Serb People's Party (SNS) and the Croatian
Independent Democrats (HND) -- will each get 65,794 kuna.
The national budget provides for the allocation of a total of 39.8
million kuna for the operation of political parties in 2003.
