Croatia-China cooperation to date has focused on trade, which last
year reached US$260 million, said Silve Stipic, deputy director of
the HGK International Relations Sector.
Croatian exports generated only 2.5 million of said figure, of
which nearly two million were made by the drugs company Pliva, while
imports from China amounted to $256.8 million, up almost 80 percent
from 2001.
After the meeting, economy representatives of the two countries
held talks.
The Chinese delegation's visit to Croatia is part of a Sept. 5-20
tour that has already included Germany and Slovenia.
