commission in charge of the media in German-speaking areas, which
has been joined by Central European countries, including Croatia,
met in Lovran on Saturday. #L#
The meeting is attended by a dozen bishops from eight countries-
members of the commission.
The commission is divided in four linguistic areas, with the
German-language group consisting of Germany, Austria and the
associate Central European countries, as well as countries where
part of the population speaks German.
In the working part of the meeting, participants presented reports
on the media environment in their countries, particularly with
regard to the church.
Catholic communicologist Mirko Matausic spoke about the treatment
of the church in the Croatian media, describing the situation as
stable.
The meeting of the commission ends tomorrow.
