"The Holy See is pleased to see that those agreements are already
implemented in various protocols, signed between the Bishops'
Conference and the Government's Commission, which is headed by
Vice-Premier Goran Granic. They concern the registering of the
legal persons of the Catholic Church, the activities of the
military ordinariate, religion classes in schools, the agreement
with Croatian Radio and Television on the coverage of religious
events, the government's financial backing of the Church's welfare
activities, and the restitution of church property confiscated by
the communist regime," Msgr. Einaudi said in the latest issue of
"Glas Koncila" weekly at the end of his term as the Holy See's
ambassador to Croatia.
