As Radio B92 reported on Sunday, Batic said that those arrested to
date would be tried directly while those at large would be tried in
absentia. He added, however, that some currently on the run would
also be tried directly but declined to say whether this meant more
people would be arrested.
On Thursday a special prosecutor's office filed an indictment
against 44 people in connection with organised crime, of whom 15 are
directly accused of the Djindjic slaying. Besides prime suspect
Milorad Lukovic aka Legija, another 16 suspects are at large.
