PRISTINA, Aug 19 (Hina) - Kosovo Prime Minister Bajram Rexhepi sent a letter to the U.N. Security Council and Secretary-General Kofi Annan on Monday stating that "over the past few days Serbia has launched a new series of diplomatic
attacks on Kosovo". He voiced hope the Security Council would not fall for Belgrade's attempts to abuse it.
PRISTINA, Aug 19 (Hina) - Kosovo Prime Minister Bajram Rexhepi sent
a letter to the U.N. Security Council and Secretary-General Kofi
Annan on Monday stating that "over the past few days Serbia has
launched a new series of diplomatic attacks on Kosovo". He voiced
hope the Security Council would not fall for Belgrade's attempts to

"Belgrade has become very persistent and vociferous in its bids to
try to include Kosovo in its new system, notably after the recent
tragic events in which two Serb youths were killed," read the
letter.
Rexhepi once again blasted the attack on Serb youths in Gorazdevac
near Pec and reiterated willingness to do everything to put an end
to violence.
He also voiced his unhappiness with they way "Belgrade is abusing
the recent tragedy of Kosovo's citizens by trying to degrade the
joint efforts of the (local U.N. mission) UNMIK and Kosovo's
interim institutions".
The letter was sent ahead of a Security Council session which was to
discuss the Kosovo situation.
