Racan made the statement in reply to a reporter's question about an
article in the latest issue of Globus weekly headlined "Police
Prevents Conspiracy against Prime Minister Racan".
Talking to reporters at the government building, Racan said he knew
nothing about an assassination attempt and that he was not
impressed by threats, which he said were made from time to time.
"Those performing public duties must learn how to live with that and
not exaggerate it."
The PM declined to explicitly say if the allegations in Globus were
correct, i.e. if there had been omissions in the work of his
security, or comment on the article. "That would force me to analyse
an article in which something is true and something isn't, and
that's something I don't want to do."
