Tensions in Kosovska Mitrovica rose after unknown gunmen killed two
Serb youths and wounded another four in Gorazdevac near Pec on
Wednesday.
Friday's explosion was the third in the past three days in the
Albanian-populated part of the town.
Also on Friday, unknown persons opened gunfire at a police
checkpoint on the Serbia-Kosovo border near the Albanian-populated
village of Konculj. This was the third assault on the Serbian
security force in less than a week in the U.N.-governed area
separating southern Serbia and Kosovo.
