ZAGREB, Aug 17 (Hina) - The number of air-passengers in Croatia in this year's second trimester was 441,000 -- up 16.7 percent from the same time last year, the Central Bureau of Statistics has said.

this year's second trimester was 441,000 -- up 16.7 percent from the
same time last year, the Central Bureau of Statistics has said. #L#
The number of passengers on international flights in said period
was 314,000 -- an increase of 14.6 percent, while domestic flights
carried 127,000 passengers -- an increase of 22.1 percent.
Cargo transport recorded an overall increase of 3.7 percent. The
increase in international transport went up 1.4 percent and on
domestic flights 11.2 percent.
Plane traffic at airports in this year's second trimester was up 4.9
percent from the same time last year. A 3.1 percent fall was
recorded with domestic planes on domestic flights, while
international flights went up 8.6 percent, of which domestic planes
accounted for a 6.3 and foreign planes for a 11.2 percent increase.
Passenger traffic at airports went up 17 percent to 811,000 people.
The number of people flying domestic flights grew by 26.9 percent to
236,000 while the number of passengers flying abroad went up 13.4
percent to 575,000.
National planes carried 329,000 passengers on international
flights, an increase of 10.4 percent, while foreign carriers flew
246,000 passengers, an increase of 17.7 percent.
