The firefighters have been joined by a firefighting plane in their
efforts to put the fire out. An estimated 800 hectares of
underbrush, forest and agricultural crops have been consumed in the
blaze.
Gornja Podgora near Makarska is also in flames, but the fire is not
spreading. About 25 hectares of pine wood and underbrush have
burnt.
The fire that broke out in Lonjsko Polje National Park in Sisak
County on Thursday was contained early on Friday. About 150
hectares of grass and reed were consumed.
The National Information Centre reported Friday morning that the
fire on the Lindar army range at Pazin in Istria County was put out
at around 2300 hours on Thursday. About 250 hectares of wood and
bush were destroyed.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze on Mount Ucka at
around midnight Thursday night thanks to the rain.
The fire that erupted at Vodnjan in Istria at about 2035 hours on
Thursday was brought under control before midnight. About 2,000
square metres of underbrush and grass and 12 olive trees burnt. The
fire was caused by a thunderbolt.
The fire that broke out in Matakov Brig in Zadar County three days
ago was put out at about 0130 hours on Friday.
