SPLIT, Aug 1 (Hina) - It is hard to believe that so many fires breaking out in a short period are not the result of concerted acts of arson and that those who deliberately set fires are not planning to continue with the crime, a
parliamentary deputy and a local leader of the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS) in Split-Dalmatia County said at a news conference on Friday.
SPLIT, Aug 1 (Hina) - It is hard to believe that so many fires
breaking out in a short period are not the result of concerted acts
of arson and that those who deliberately set fires are not planning
to continue with the crime, a parliamentary deputy and a local
leader of the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS) in Split-
Dalmatia County said at a news conference on Friday. #L#
Ivan Skaric added that he agreed with his party's president, Drazen
Budisa, that the latest blazes could be described as cataclysmic
rather than as ecological accidents.
Skaric pointed the finger at the government, and the Croatian
Forests and Croatian Waters companies which, he said, had failed to
take any preventive actions this winter.
