"Returning the registers of births, marriages and deaths, land
books and registers of citizenship is yet another step to speed up
and facilitate the return of Serbs to Croatia and help them exercise
their human and property rights," the government said in a
statement.
It said that 420 registers from Croatia ended up in Serbia
"following the events in the Serbian Krajina".
For this purpose, the government decided to set up a commission
consisting of representatives of the ministries of state
administration and local government, justice, the interior, and
the Serbian Archive.
