Batic could not tell reporters how many people will be indicted for
preparing and carrying out the assassination.
Investigations into 45 people were launched in early May based on a
request of the prosecution. Twenty-seven suspects have been
detained and arrest warrants issued against 17 people who are on the
run, including the primary suspect, former commander of a special
operations army unit, Milorad Lukovic Legija, a Belgrade County
Court investigating judge, Vucko Mircic, told Serbian Radio
Television today.
