"Serbia and Montenegro, as a full member of the UN, fully supports
the concept of peace missions in accordance with the UN Charter. By
its decision, the Council of Ministers reaffirms its readiness for
the military personnel of Serbia and Montenegro to take active part
as peace-keepers under the UN flag in crisis areas in the world,"
the council said in a statement.
The council said it hoped this would help Serbia and Montenegro
become a member of Euro-Atlantic institutions and speed up the
country's entry into NATO's Partnership for Peace programme.
