rested mostly with Slavko Linic. #L#
"It is now evident that from 'Suncani Hvar' to Kutjevo problems in
the privatisation process were caused by Slavko Linic. This cannot
be tolerated any more," Tomcic said at Zagreb airport before
departing for Great Britain.
He expressed deep dissatisfaction with the process of
privatisation and the ruling coalition's results in that area.
"Somebody in this country must finally answer why every
privatisation attempt ends with a scandal. It is obviously a matter
of wrong concepts, aspirations of individuals to exert decisive
influence on the course of privatisation.... and unprepared
administration," Tomcic said.
Tomcic doubts that the incumbent coalition government would manage
to make any changes in the process of privatisation by the end of its
mandate.
"We can, however, make a detailed analysis of our failures and adopt
a law on privatisation and other laws so the next government could
do a better job," he said.
