At the beginning of today's question time, Luka Roic of the Croatian
Peasant Party (HSS) slammed the government for not implementing the
parliament's conclusions from the last, 32nd session, reached
during a discussion on the privatisation of the Suncani Hvar hotel
company.
Roic recalled that parliament had bound the government to propose
by the next parliament session a concept of management over
privatisation processes in tourism, as well as amendments to the
Law on Privatisation and the Croatian Privatisation Fund. The
government was also obliged to submit to parliament as soon as
possible documents on the strategy of the further privatisation of
the tourist sector and submit a report on the ACI company in
Opatija.
Racan briefly replied the government was preparing answers
regarding projects in tourism, and added that foreign consultants
were included in the venture, which was why the answers had not been
completed. He did, however, voice confidence that they would be
sent to parliament soon.
