ZAGREB, June 15 (Hina) - The Association of Workers' Trade Unions of
Croatia (URSH) on Sunday vehemently slammed a letter Labour
Minister Davorko Vidovic sent union members ahead of a June 16-18
referendum on changes to the Labour Act. #L#
URSH said in an open letter Vidovic's letter was an attempt to
delude Croatia's workers and union members because it highlighted
only the positive side of the Labour Act changes, without stating
what workers stood to lose in comparison to their current rights.
The URSH letter, signed by president Boris Kunst, said that workers
were sufficiently informed to know how to answer the referendum
question whether they found the changes to the Labour Act
acceptable.
