ZAGREB, May 29 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Thursday adopted a decision under which Croatian citizens will be able to cross the border with Bosnia-Herzegovina by presenting their I.D. cards between June 1 and September 30. The same regime will apply to Bosnian citizens coming to Croatia. #L# As of next year, when registering their vehicles, owners of vehicles will have to pay a special environment excise, which is contained in a final bill on the establishment of a fund for environmental protection and energy efficiency. The amount of the excise will depend on the type and age of the vehicle and the type of fuel it uses. The excise would be one of the sources for the financing of the fund. The government gave the green light to a long-term project for protection against the pollution of coastal waters. The project consists of some 50 sub-projects and is valued at around 1.6 billion kuna. It would be funded by the World Bank, the state and units of local administration, which could mean an increase in water prices for citizens because the loans would be repaid exclusively from water tariffs. A project to equip 75 technical schools was also given the green light. Within this project, 63 million kuna will be invested this year into equipping schools. The government decided that the Zagreb-based APZ Inzenjering company would be assigned to design and supervise the construction of an annex to Zagreb's "Rebro" hospital. The contract was awarded without any public tender. Within 30 days, tenders will be invited for supervision and consulting services in the project. By adopting this decision, the government resolved a dispute between ministers Radimir Cacic and Zeljka Antunovic regarding the design and construction of the hospital annex. (hina) sp rml sb
