ZAGREB, June 3 (Hina) - Croatian Premier Ivica Racan on Tuesday received a Russian delegation, headed by Sergey Potlavcenko, the representative of the Russian Federation's president to the central federal district, the Croatian
government reported in a press release.

received a Russian delegation, headed by Sergey Potlavcenko, the
representative of the Russian Federation's president to the

Premier Racan said good economic and political relations with the
Russian Federation were important for Croatia. He also informed his
guests of the economic and political situation in his country,
saying that his cabinet was adamant in implementing difficult but
exceptionally necessary reforms.
Potlavcenko expressed his desire for relations between the two
countries to be raised to a higher level.
The Russian delegation was also received today by Deputy Prime
Minister Slavko Linic. Following their meeting an agreement on
economic, and scientific and technical co-operation in the field of
agriculture and forestry was signed.
