SARAJEVO, May 29 (Hina) - Bosnia-Herzegovina will have to reduce the size of its Armed Forces by almost a half in order to secure normal functioning of all of its needs, the spokeswoman for the Organisation for Security and
Cooperation (OSCE) Mission in Bosnia, Urdur Gunnarsdotir, said in Sarajevo Thursday.
SARAJEVO, May 29 (Hina) - Bosnia-Herzegovina will have to reduce
the size of its Armed Forces by almost a half in order to secure
normal functioning of all of its needs, the spokeswoman for the
Organisation for Security and Cooperation (OSCE) Mission in
Bosnia, Urdur Gunnarsdotir, said in Sarajevo Thursday. #L#
According to the OSCE's assessments, Bosnia, i.e. both its
entities, can only ensure the amount necessary for the funding of
9,500 soldiers at the most. The Army of the Federation of Bosnia-
Herzegovina currently has about 12,000 members while the Bosnian
Serb entity has about 6,600 armed forces members.
