The decision will be forwarded to the competent local court,
Serbian interior ministry and the national committee for
cooperation with the ICTY. The date of the extradition will be set
by the Serbian interior ministry in agreement with ICTY officials.
According to Belgrade's Radio B92's sources, Simatovic is
insisting that he be extradited as soon as possible, so one can
expect this to happen in the next few days.
A former head of the Serbian State Security Service, Jovica
Stanisic, who was arrested along with Simatovic a day after the
assassination of Serbian Premier Zoran Djindjic on March 12, is
currently in hospital for surgery. It is unknown when he will be
extradited to The Hague.
