LJUBLJANA, May 15 (Hina) - Slovenia will take the same stance as the European Union countries with regard to a demand by the U.S. on the non-extradition of its citizens to the International Criminal Court (ICC), Slovenia's Foreign
Minister Dimitrij Rupel said on Thursday.

European Union countries with regard to a demand by the U.S. on the
non-extradition of its citizens to the International Criminal
Court (ICC), Slovenia's Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel said on

Rupel said that the U.S. had not put any pressure on their country
lately. He is confident that there will be no tension in the
Slovenia-U.S. relations because of to this issue.
The Slovenian Foreign Ministry stated that nothing had changed with
regard to earlier requests by the U.S. to sign a bilateral agreement
on the non-extradition.
U.S. Ambassador in Ljubljana Johnny Young said to Slovenian
Television on Thursday evening that there was still a possibility
that Slovenia would sign such an agreement. The U.S. still believes
this matter has not been finalised, Young said.
