ZAGREB, May 19 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic will this week be on a small-scale European tour, during which he will visit Munich, Salzburg and Athens.

week be on a small-scale European tour, during which he will visit
Munich, Salzburg and Athens. #L#
Mesic will visit Munich at the invitation of the Herbert Quandt
foundation and give a lecture on Croatia's future in Europe.
The president will hold talks with Bavarian Prime Minister Edmund
Stoiber, the leader of the German Christian Socialists and former
chief candidate of the German opposition for the federal
chancellor.
Mesic will also hold talks with leaders of the Siemens company and
the Hanns Seidel foundation.
In Salzburg Mesic will take part in the tenth Central European
summit which will focus on the future of the old Europe in a bigger
Europe after EU enlargement.
On Saturday Mesic will take part in an economic conference of
Southeast European countries in Athens, which will be organised for
the first time under the sponsorship of the World Economic Forum.
