Sofia on Wednesday for a day-long official visit to Bulgaria. #L#
After a welcoming ceremony and the laying of wreaths at the Monument
to the Unknown Soldier, Racan will hold talks with his Bulgarian
counterpart and host, Simeon Saxe-Coburg Gotha.
The delegation accompanying Racan includes European Integration
Minister Neven Mimica, Health Minister Andro Vlahusic and Deputy
Foreign Minister Ivan Simonovic.
The two sides will discuss bilateral cooperation, the situation in
the region and the process of drawing closer to the European Union.
After the talks and before a news conference, Minister Vlahusic and
his Bulgarian counterpart Bojidar Finkov will sign an agreement on
cooperation in health and medicine.
Racan is also to meet Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov and
Parliament President Ognyan Gerdjikov.
At the end of the visit, Racan will attend a dinner organised in his
honour by the Bulgarian prime minister.
