On Thursday June 5, the Pope will leave Rome's Fiumicino airport for
the island of Krk, where he will attend a welcoming ceremony.
The Holy Father will travel from Krk to Rijeka by catamaran. He will
meet Croatian President Stjepan Mesic in the Rijeka archdiocese
offices.
On the next day, the Holy Father will visit Dubrovnik, where he will
conduct a mass in the city's port and beatify Marija Petkovic.
He is to return to Rijeka late in the afternoon.
On Saturday June 7, the Pope will travel to Osijek, where he is to
hold a mass at the city airport and in the afternoon pay a private
visit to the Djakovo cathedral. He will return to Rijeka in the
evening.
On Sunday June 8, the Pope will hold a mass in downtown Rijeka, after
which he will meet Croatian bishops in the archdiocese's offices.
In the afternoon the Pope will meet Prime Minister Ivica Racan and
in the evening pay a private visit to the shrine of the Assumption of
the Virgin Mary at Trsat.
On Monday morning on June 9, the Pope will conduct a private mass in
the Rijeka archdiocese's offices and at 10 am leave Rijeka airport
for Zadar, where he will hold a mass. Around 1 pm the Pope will
return to Rome.
