LJUBLJANA, May 16 (Hina) - The Croatian Power Company (HEP) this week forwarded a letter to the Slovene government requesting the payment of USD53 million for damage incurred due to Slovenia's failure to deliver electricity from the nuclear power plant Krsko, officials at the Slovene environment and zoning ministry said, not wishing to comment on the request. #L# An unnamed representative of the ministry told the Slovene news agency STA that the request was being discussed, which was why the ministry could not comment on it yet. The HEP's bill for undelivered electricity refers to the period from 1 July 2002 to 19 April this year. An agreement on the resumption of power supply signed by the two countries could not be implemented in that period due to its delayed ratification in the Slovene parliament. (hina) rml sb
