After touring the town's facilities, Rossin officially handed for
use 7.5 kilometres of power-transmission lines and a low-voltage
network.
Thanks to the memorandum, the American government has invested a
million US dollars in the construction of infrastructure, capital
construction and reconstruction in the Pakrac area through the
USAID and the FLAG humanitarian organisation.
Rossin commended the work of the town leadership, stressing that
Pakrac was an example of the fact that coexistence was possible,
despite events from the near past.
Rossin was also satisfied with the fact that most projects in Pakrac
were completed. More attention will be paid to the economy
according to the annex to the memorandum.
The U.S. Ambassador said he was leaving for Bosnia after Pakrac,
where he would meet his colleagues in Bosnia, Serbia and Kosovo to
transfer the Pakrac model of cooperation and coexistence to those
areas.
