MOSTAR/BANJA LUKA, May 10 (Hina) - The president of Bosnia's Serb entity has denied claims by its vice president that the interior ministry and the army are backing Radovan Karadzic, the most wanted indictee of the U.N. war crimes
tribunal in The Hague.

"I am saying this responsibly and clearly -- neither the army nor
the police are protecting anyone listed on war crimes indictments,"
Republic of Srpska President Dragan Cavic told a news conference in
Banja Luka on Saturday.
The entity's vice president, Adil Osmanovic, was quoted in
Nezavisne novine daily as saying that senior interior ministry and
military officials are harbouring Karadzic.
Cavic also denied that the recently dissolved 410th intelligence
unit had been tapping the phones of the entity's officials.
