ZAGREB, May 10 (Hina) - Asked to comment on Saturday's government
session which addressed some ministries' promotional campaigns,
HNS president Vesna Pusic said the session was not intended to
discipline anybody but to find a joint model of relaying the entire
cabinet's results to the public. #L#
Pusic said the government had decided to combine the models
individual ministries had applied to date in an attempt to make the
entire government have a better communication with the public.
The models considered were the promotional campaigns of the
ministries for public works, reconstruction and construction,
European integration, trades and small enterprises, and health,
said Pusic.
Asked if the HNS (Croatian People's Party) endorsed this, she
answered in the affirmative.
"The main criticism of the government until recently was that the
presentation of its results was insufficiently clear,
insufficiently good, and insufficiently qualified" said Pusic.
"Common sense and the examples of countries which are far more
experienced in this than Croatia indicate that this is a key task of
every government, not only to work on projects it said it would work
on, but also to very clearly involve citizens and show whether it is
acting on the promises and projects it committed itself to," Pusic
said.
