The decision was made in line with Article 53 of the Police Law.
Based on a decision made by the Zagreb County Court on 23 July 2001,
the Zagreb police issued a warrant for the arrest of Ante Gotovina,
born on 12 October 1955. As the search for the runaway general has
not yielded any results, the minister decided to offer the reward.
The ministry called on citizens who may have useful information on
Gotovina's possible whereabouts to contact the police by dialling
01/6122305 or 01/6122411.
Persons who have information already known to the police will not
have the right to the reward, reads the statement, signed by
ministry spokeswoman Zinka Bardic.
