The deportation of the Chinese to Bosnia will be conducted in line
with an agreement on the transfer and reception of illegal migrants
that was signed between Croatia and Bosnia.
The illegal migrants were arrested by Slovenian police on the night
between April 23 and 24 near Kopar. The next day Slovenian police
tried to return the eight to Croatian border police because it was
ascertained that they had illegally crossed the border to Slovenia
through Croatia.
Croatian border police, however, refused to accept the group after
health inspectors ascertained that two within the group had a
temperature and were suspected of being infected with SARS.
The same day, Slovenian health inspectors examined the group and
determined that not one had SARS symptoms.
