ZAGREB, May 6 (Hina) - The ministry of maritime affairs, transport and communications has completed a draft of a new law on telecommunications and information activities. The text of the new bill is likely to be sent into government
procedure by mid-May, ministry officials reported on Tuesday.

and communications has completed a draft of a new law on
telecommunications and information activities. The text of the new
bill is likely to be sent into government procedure by mid-May,
ministry officials reported on Tuesday. #L#
The objective and purpose of the draft is to adjust this act to the
European Union's regulations, international standards and
practice and technical achievements so that Croatia can advance the
telecommunications sector.
Those who have drawn up the new law have taken into account the
principle of creating a free and open market in telecommunications
in order to make it possible for all participants to have equal
positions.
