The state prosecution and police were given all documents about the
work of the government commission which was headed by Sakoman until
2000.
The government source said there was founded suspicion that Sakoman
had misused the funds intended for combating drug abuse for
financing his own lectures and publishing his books.
Sakoman told Hina today he never spent even a kuna for any purpose
other than envisaged.
"Neither I nor any member of the commission had any executive
authority. Funds for programmes, at the commission's proposal,
were granted by vice-premiers in charge of the issue, Ivica
Kostovic, Ljerka Mintas-Hodak and Zeljka Antunovic," Sakoman told
Hina.
