OSIJEK: INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE "CHURCH AND PEACE" ENDS

OSIJEK, May 4 (Hina) - An ecumenical service and prayer for world peace on Sunday marked the end of a four-day international conference called "Church and Peace", held at Osijek's Evangelical Faculty of Theology. The conference was attended by 120 representatives from 12 European countries, America and Canada. #L# The purpose of the gathering is to encourage churches, religious communities, individuals and groups to promote peace, said Bruno Bauchet, president of the international organisation "Church and Peace" from France. Along with participants from America and Canada, the conference was attended by church representatives and peace activists from Germany, Austria, Hungary, France, Great Britain, Bosnia, Serbia and Montenegro and Croatia.
