ZAGREB, April 29 (Hina) - The Independent Croatian Unions (NHS) believes that no politician should be invited to this year's event marking Labour Day, notwithstanding the duties they perform. Only citizens should be invited to the
event, the NHS said Tuesday.

However, the NHS was outvoted at a meeting of union federations
focusing on May 1 celebrations, so the president, prime minister
and parliament president have been invited to Maksimir Park, where
the event will take place.
Since parliamentary elections are just around the corner, the NHS
believes that politicians should not address citizens at the event
as the public connects them to their parties regardless of the
duties they perform.
