ZAGREB, April 22 (Hina) - After he spent the Easter holidays at his
home, retired Croatian General Janko Bobetko was on Monday re-
admitted to Zagreb's Dubrava clinic, said Mijo Bergovec, the head
of a team of doctors following the general's condition. #L#
Bobetko, who has been treated in the hospital's intensive care unit
since mid-November last year due to his poor health, left the
hospital with the permission of the doctor on duty.
Bergovec said Bobetko's condition was still serious, and his
leaving the hospital over the holidays had caused "a certain degree
of deterioration".
The patient has a serious heart rhythm failure and must take
medications, Bergovec said.
The International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia in The
Hague indicted Bobetko for war crimes committed in Operation Medak
Pocket and requested his transfer.
The tribunal gave up its request in February due to the general's
poor health and in early April suspended its request for his arrest
and hand-over.
