Both missions have specific tasks and military needs. Each mission
is viewed as a separate one, Robertson said.
He added there were no plans so far for NATO to leave the missions to
EU countries, as had been the case with the mission in Macedonia.
Robertson said that Russian soldiers had been withdrawn from the
missions in Kosovo (KFOR) and Bosnia (SFOR) for pragmatic reasons,
i.e. because the Russian Federation could not afford to finance
them any longer.
