THE HAGUE/ZAGREB, April 14 (Hina) - The chief prosecutor of the
International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY),
Carla Del Ponte, will travel to Croatia for a working visit on
Wednesday, her spokeswoman Florence Hartmann said Monday. #L#
"Carla Del Ponte will arrive on Wednesday for a regular working
visit," Hartmann said.
The chief prosecutor will meet Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan,
Vice-Premier Goran Granic, the president of the government's
Council for Cooperation with the ICTY, and other top officials.
The talks will focus on "all the difficult issues" from the field of
Croatia's cooperation with the ICTY, said Hartmann, but refused to
go into detail.
The tribunal's chief concerns are connected with the case of
indicted General Ante Gotovina, who the ICTY requests be arrested
and extradited, and the stalling in handing over some defence
ministry documents relating to military operations in Bosnia.
