Croatian Army General Janko Bobetko or his deputies with the indictment in exchange for withdrawing a warrant for his arrest and extradition.
THE HAGUE/ZAGREB, April 2 (Hina) - The International Criminal
Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) has not yet received any
information from Zagreb regarding its request forwarded to
Croatian authorities for serving retired Croatian Army General
Janko Bobetko or his deputies with the indictment in exchange for
withdrawing a warrant for his arrest and extradition. #L#
The ICTY hopes that Croatia will fulfil its obligation towards the
tribunal and that the matter will be positively solved, spokesman
Jim Landale told Hina.
ICTY Judge Carmel Agius issued a warrant for serving Bobetko on
March 19, along with a request that Croatia confirms it within 15
days. The set deadline expires on April 4.
The proceedings regarding the said request by the ICTY is currently
being held before the Zagreb County Court.
