insisting on the release of arrested former members of the Kosovo

Addressing the protesters, Premier Bajram Rexhepi said the Kosovo
government would send by the end of the month a bill on the
protection of values of the war in Kosovo to the parliament to
consider and adopt it.
Another protest rally was held by several hundred local Serbs in
Leposavic near the boundary-line with Serbia. Those demonstrations
were organised by the Serb National Councils of northern and
central parts of Kosovo in protest over the start of the transfer of
authorities of the UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) to local
institutions.
The rally in Leposavic was held under the slogans "For Serbia -
Against Independent Kosovo".
