Deakin said the police had acted in a serious, unbiased and
unprejudiced manner in recent incidents in the Knin area.
The police strongly committed itself to eradicating ethnic
incidents and hate crimes, Deakin said in a statement stressing
that the cooperation between the police and the OSCE mission was
good.
He also stated that the recent incidents did not reflect the actual
security situation in the Knin area.
Police work helps build trust within a community, especially in
areas where unresolved property issues can lead to tensions, the
OSCE official said.
