Galic said the HRT would be "smaller and with fewer employees, but
more efficient" and that he could not guarantee that all HRT
employees would keep their jobs next year.
Speaking about digitising, Galic said that around 35 million kuna
(EUR4.54 million) had been spent for that purpose in 2003 and that
the HRT planned to invest a total of 219.6 million kuna (EUR28.51
million) into digitising and other capital projects.
The digitising of the radio and television, including programme
broadcasting, would be completed by 2005. In the next two years the
HRT plans to invest around 217 million kuna (EUR28.18 million) in
development programmes.
