A senior official of the Yugoslav Left party (JUL), Ivan Markovic,
was again brought in for questioning and remanded in custody, the
radio reported.
Another senior JUL official and former assistant federal interior
minister, Svetozar Simovic, was also questioned.
So far more than 3,000 people were arrested by police in an
investigation into Djindjic's assassination. Almost 2,000 of them
have been taken into custody.
The Tanjug news agency has reported that the Belgrade military
court initiated an investigation into General Pavkovic for abuse of
authority.
The media claim that Pavkovic was arrested after it was discovered
that a military helicopter had been used in a murder attempt while
Slobodan Milosevic was Yugoslav president.
