ZAGREB, March 27 (Hina) - Ivan Ninic of the Social Democrats' bench in the Croatian parliament at the beginning of Thursday's session requested a break due to assassination threats made yesterday against the prime minister and the
president and because of "the logs revolution that started in Bibinje this morning".

An unknown person or persons sawed off two pines and threw them on
the Adriatic Highway near Bibinje around 2 a.m. today. Trying to
bypass the pines, a driver hit a cliff, sustaining grave injuries.
He was taken to a hospital in nearby Zadar, local police said.
Interior Minister Sime Lucin briefed the government about this at
the start of today's government session.
Josko Kontic of the Social Liberals' bench, too, requested a break
in today's parliament sitting, saying it reminded him of a recent
statement by the head of the Office for the Prevention of Corruption
and Organised Crime about the collusion of crime and state bodies.
The whole state security situation has to be addressed, something
the prime minister has so far avoided doing, he said.
Yesterday the HVIDR-a association of disabled war veterans and the
National Centre for the Protection of Homeland War Values announced
roads would be blocked today between noon and 4 p.m.
