As a future EU member-country, Slovenia will be active in Southeast
Europe in order to secure stability by regional countries' joining
the EU, the head of Slovenia's diplomacy Dimitrij Rupel said in
Copenhagen at a conference entitled "The Greater and Closer
Union".
According to the Slovene Foreign Ministry, Rupel told the
conference that Slovenia supported the institutional reform in the
EU that will take account of strengthening joint security and joint
policies on the foreign affairs front as well as the rights of small
member countries to be in a position to be involved in decision
making and to be able to delegate their delegates to the highest
positions in the European Commission.
