"One cannot make any significant progress and stabilise the country
if exposed to constant pressure," Tadic said at a seminar entitled
"Serbia-Montenegro: New Hopes, New Challenges" in Belgrade. The
seminar was organised by NATO and the Serbian-Montenegrin
Assembly.
Tadic's statement was confirmed by the army's chief-of-staff,
General Branko Krga, who said that he had informed the tribunal's
chief prosecutor Carla Del Ponte and the US ambassador for war
crimes issues, Pierre Richard Prosper, of this on several
occasions.
