The Armed Forces has units which, even in peacetime, are prepared
for rapid reactions and are able to respond to any challenges to the
Croatian defence mechanism, says the ministry.
Because of events in Iraq, security measures and unit protective
measures have been stepped up since yesterday, in line with
regulations, the ministry said.
